Community Group Questions:
Engage Yourselves:
Read the text from Sunday (Acts 9:32-43). What about Sunday’s sermon was most encouraging and challenging?
If you’ve ever experienced anything miraculous, where or to whom did this experience move you? In other words, were you drawn nearer to Christ or to how cool the miracle was?
Engage the Text:
Count how many times you see the words “rise” or “arose”. What about this do you think might be significant, and do you think Luke is being intentional with his language?
What do you think the significance is in v. 39 of the widows showing Peter the tunics Tabitha made? What does this say about Tabitha’s character (see v. 36)?
Engage your Neighbor:
How might you allow God to use you and your family as a “sign” in your own neighborhood, family, etc.?
Engage your Family:
Think of ways where you can engage your children in being “full of good works and acts of charity” in both your family and with your neighbors. Ask for their help and offer guidance. This could be an opportunity to teach your children about the mission of God and how they can be a part of it!
