May 2, 2021 Speaker: Jonathan Sgalambro Series: Faithful Witnesses: A Study in the Book of Acts

Topic: Faithfulness Scripture: Acts 9:43–11:18

Community Group Questions:

Engage Yourself:

What are some rules, whether spoken or unspoken, that you have that prevent you from having relationships with people different from yourself?

With whom do you identify most in this story, Peter or Cornelius? Explain.

Engage the Text:

What stood out most to you in our text this week? Explain.

Read both Galatians 2:11-14 and Ephesians 2:11-22. What do you notice about the similarities that these passages have with our passage from Sunday?

Engage your Neighbor:

With whom is God calling you to initiate or cultivate a relationship? How might the barrier breaking nature of the Gospel encourage you in this endeavor?

Engage your Family:

Ask your kids if there’s anyone in their class or on their team that they think is weird or not “cool”. Ask them if they’d ever consider hanging out with them. Listen to their answer and use the conversation as an opportunity to talk about the barrier breaking nature of the Good News of Jesus!
