Community Group Questions:
Engage Yourself:
John the Baptist says in Matthew 3, “repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand”. In what ways have you held on to the kingdoms of this world (morally, financially, politically) by refusing to submit to the Kingdom from heaven?
Engage The Text:
Read Luke 14:12-24. What stands out to you in this parable? What about this parable reflects the heart of the kingdom, especially when compared with Matthew 25:34-40?
Engage Your Neighbor:
If the Kingdom of God moves toward the effects of sin and death with grace and kindness, how might you serve as a conduit of that grace and kindness with those in your sphere of influence?
Engage Your Family:
Take time to memorize the Lord’s Prayer with your family and discuss what faithfulness in God’s Kingdom looks like. Use the beatitudes in Matthew 5:2-12 as a jumping off point, or any of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7.
