Engage Yourself:

What comes to mind when you think of heaven? Do you think that some of your thoughts have been influenced by things outside of the Bible? Explain.

Engage the Text:

Read through Revelation 21 and 22. What stands out in these chapters? What about them is most encouraging?

Engage your Neighbor:

If praying “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” means that we desire to see the rule and reign of God manifest itself here on earth, then how might you see that take place with your neighbors and in your community? Use the Sermon on the Mount as a starting point.

Engage your Family: Continue memorizing the Lord’s Prayer with your children, and encourage them that their kindness and love toward their friends and family, whether in school, in your home, or in your neighborhood are all ways to live out God’s Kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven”.
