Is the Goodness of God Enough

Speaker: Jonathan Sgalambro Series: Joy in the Mourning Topic: Faithfulness Scripture: Psalm 73:1–28

Community Group Questions:

Engage Yourself:

Have you ever been jealous over “the prosperity of the wicked”? What were the circumstances of your life at that time? Who or what were you jealous of? What were you lacking that fueled your jealousy?

Where in your life are you holding onto comfort tighter than you are holding onto God? How might you fight against that temptation?

Engage the Text:

What verses stand out most to you in this psalm? Why do you think that is?

Engage your Neighbor:

Psalm 73 ends with the psalmist crying out that “it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge that I may tell of all your works”. How might the presence of God coincide with our mission to proclaim the Good News of King Jesus, while living in a manner that reflects his mercy, justice, love, and compassion in our communities (see Acts 1:8)?
